About Manya

I'm Manya - holistic nutritional educator, certified yoga instructor and birth & labor doula. My friends call me the folk remedy woman but really I believe that despite all the technological advances we have forgotten how to take care of ourselves.

I bet one of your secret skills is that you can recite the things you should and shouldn't have done on any particular day.  Often we are far ruder to our bodies than we let our selves notice.  Right now you’re struggling to REV up your energy and mental stamina as you reverse the signs of aging without consuming all your free time reading  ingredients on food labels and making restricted diet choices.  I bet at this point you’ve got a pretty clear picture of the incredible difference a more balanced and healthier outlook could  make in your life and work.

How about YOU make peace with the committee in your head and have…

  • The knowing that your body feels RADIANT because you feel good, consistently.

  • No longer wake up with a foggy brain and puffy face.

  • The ease of eating what your body naturally body craves  without obsessing over every piece of  food you put in your mouth.

  • The excitement of creating goals with SOULwithout losing focus and energy.

  • Deeper and more intimate relationships.

  • A life where you work happier not harder.

  • Freedom from the pull of the next detox plan.

The trouble is, so far you've tried everything to build a loving relationship with your mind & body but you keep falling off the wagon.

In fact, you've become an expert at finding experts and programs, always looking for the magic formula, then striving and trying harder to change yourself, but you always end up twirling around in the vortex of hopelessness.

Sound familiar?

So what’s my story?  Why do I care?

I have always been fascinated by the human experience and all of the many layers that contribute to our state of being - the food we choose, the places we travel, the type of people we are drawn to, our "chance encounters" and the environments we create for ourselves, basically how we metabolize each moment in our lives!

This fascination of people and storytelling led me to start my career in NYC as a documentary film editor with several high profile clients where I carefully wove all the parts of people's stories together so that others could bear witness to their experience.

After many years of sitting behind a computer, often in a dark room  where 16 hour work days were the norm, paired with last minute fire drills, constantly working hard and playing harder, sprinkled with constant traffic, pollution and congestion made for the perfect toxic environment.

Finally, when life reached it's breaking point, I surrendered.  A dear friend recommended I try a 21 day detox food program food program so I could hit the re-set button. Fresh juices made from a variety of fruits and vegetables, creatively crafted and intentionally nourishing combined with nourishing seasonal foods including much needed nutrients and minerals.   Meditation, Yoga, chanting, sweating, lots of sleep and recovery.  By the end of the week I felt undeniably lighter, calmer, and more focused – cleansed from the inside out.  .

Because what you put on the inside shows on the outside and what you put on the outside you feel on the inside.

Understanding I could find balance, regain energy, get out of the mental fog and regain my creative flow because of a more intentional lifestyle and informed seasonal & nutritional food choices, things completely shifted and changed for the better. For the next 7 years while still in NYC , I threw myself into everything there was to know about Healing with Whole Foods , Green Living, Cellular Detox, Herbalism, Yoga and Ayurveda.

I know what it feels like to struggle with addiction, sugar crashes, insatiable cravings, negative self-talk, feeling bloated after every meal and constant fatigue. I  trained and worked under some of the top chefs and wellness gurus in New York City including Annemarie Colbin, Founder of The Natural Gourmet Institute.  I quickly discovered there was a gap in the NY market for creative, nourishing and approachable clean food + juice options. In 2010, I founded JuiceWell, a company with the mission to help people feel better and think higher by detoxifying the body and nourishing the cells with organic pressed juice remedies and plant based + gluten free food.

As a certified Holistic Nutritionist, Yogini, Birth & Labor Doula, and Healing Foods Chef, I am able to understand and relate to the challenges that come with making changes, getting out of your own way, living your best life, and moving away from a place of limiting beliefs and self-doubt.

It’s my passion to educate, empower, inspire and support you to understand and accept yourself, to feel good in your body, and get your  MOJO back with the help of a roadmap to long lasting results in the real world, your world.

// And you know what, the challenge of knowing there is a better way but feeling overwhelmed with too much information and trying things that simply don't work, worsens the situation for you.

//  I know you don’t have the stamina to go through another boring detox program that depletes your already fading energy and wastes your time. That’s why I let my clients  tune into their own inner-powers in a light, simple and fun way.

// Each and every one my clients come to me feeling drained, confused and hopeless about their health and life and leave with a better (well A LOT better) lifestyle that feels true to them and their bodies.
