The purpose of the body is to be a good vehicle for the mind. The purpose of the mind is to project the radiance of the psyche (the infinite within you). If your mind is content then your body, your vehicle will not be always drawn to going outside the body to seek it’s contentment through food, alcohol, shopping, or sex. As long as you remain dependent on outside stimuli outside of your body such as food to give satisfaction then that stimulus is never going to create peace or contentment. It will never satisfy. Only create more craving. In this way we use food intelligently to support the body’s natural contentment.
In order to use food for true satisfaction pranic movement is required to create stability and vitality. Linking the body and the mind is requires strong pranic life force. This is the essence of Ayurveda.
The prana travels through the breath. Therefore it is paramount to energize, purify and elevate via our breath. Lightening the density of the body, crystallizing the mind and allowing the bright power of the infinite to shine forth through our clear presence. When kundalini sadhana is is practiced regularly, everything else is taken care of. Sadhana means daily spiritual practice. It is the foundation of all spiritual endeavor. Sadhana is your personal, individual spiritual effort.
